Gosh.

The Next Generation Indie Book Awards have named The Nothing Within the best indie-published science fiction book of the year. Some people have called Next Generation Indies the Sundance of the publishing world.

Apparently a medal is on the way. Like, an actual medal. I’m not big into jewelry, but maybe I’ll make an exception just this once.

Established by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group in 2007, Next Generation Indies is the largest International awards program for indie authors and independent publishers. The judges consider book published by small presses, larger independent publishers, university presses, e‑book publishers, and self-published authors.

Awards this year have been really encouraging. So far the book as been named a winner, first runner-up, or finalist for six awards. It’s enough to make you want to write another book or something.
